The Rieva Ash Collection
Carefully handmade
The Rieva Ash bowls are fully handcrafted from carefully selected ash wood. Each piece begins with the selection of the right tree—large and of high quality, suitable for extracting durable sections.
The production process spans several months. After felling, the wood is first dried for 5 to 6 weeks, then cut and dried again for another 4 weeks to ensure stability. After this, each element is shaped by hand into its final bowl form. This slow, controlled approach results in a strong and durable final product in which the natural grain of the wood is fully expressed.
The finishing is done in a pure and safe way, by treating the bowls with natural vinegar. This process is completely food-safe while preserving the authentic appearance of the wood.
Modular pieces
What makes Rieva Ash unique is its modular character. The collection consists of two sets that can be used both separately and in combination. The bowls function perfectly as individual serving pieces, but can also be brought together again to form a sculptural object or a raised bowl.
The sets are interchangeable: larger and smaller elements can be combined according to preference. This allows for ever-changing compositions that are both functional and decorative.
Each bowl is unique in grain, colour, and shape, a direct result of the material and the handmade process.
